Programme Evaluation
Evaluation of economic development and urban
regeneration projects is increasingly required as a condition of
assistance provided by National and European funding bodies. A good body
of quality evaluation evidence provides an essential input to the design,
appraisal and implementation of future projects and programmes. Evaluation
is also a powerful tool for managing change in regional development
organisations.
In our approach to evaluation we endeavour to
engage those responsible for project and programme implementation in a
positive learning exercise. Where circumstances allow, our emphasis is not
so much on audit, but is oriented towards highlighting what works, joint
development of solutions to identified shortcomings and building
committment towards good practice.
